About BSRIA

BSRIA is an ISO 9001 Registered test, instruments, research and consultancy organisation, providing specialist services in construction and building services.

As a non-profit distributing, member-based association, clients can be assured of our independent approach and authoritative reputation. Any profits made are invested in our on-going research programme, producing industry recognised best practice guidance.

BSRIA (owned by The Building Services Research and Information Association) was founded in 1955 and had a turnover of £14.3 million in 2019-20. We employ over 160 people at our head office in Bracknell (UK), at BSRIA North in Preston, at regionally based construction compliance offices throughout the UK; at offices in France, China, USA; and Associates in Northern Ireland, Japan, Brazil and Australia.

BSRIA is the leading independent UK laboratory for testing and performance verification of a wide range of building services products. Our internationally recognised type test reports will help you gain the relevant markings for your products and independently prove their performance.

BSRIA Instrumentation

BSRIA developed its Instrumentation division in 1990 to offer a total test and measurement service. We hire, calibrate and sell a comprehensive range of specialist instruments for building services and construction use.

Our service is backed by a Quality Assurance management system to both BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (UKAS) and our team of expert engineers who can advise you on the best instrument for your need and offer technical support and site services.
